A Modular Furniture Series for Community, Inspired by "Gotong Royong" Practices
BERSAMA (meaning “together” in Indonesian) is a modular furniture series rooted in the principle of collective effort. Inspired by the value of "Gotong Royong", it translates togetherness into contemporary German social design context. The modules only become fully functional through shared assembly and use, emphasizing cooperation over individual use. The series includes tables, swing chairs, armchairs, benches, blackboards, and shelves, and can grow through users’ collective imagination.
